This photo involved a lot of work to create. First you have to drive about 25 miles off-road in the Mojave Desert to find this spot. It's pretty remote, so chances are you'll be alone except maybe for some desert mice. It's a spooky place no doubt. Then you have to deal with trying to focus in pitch dark and painting the panel with the right amount of light knowing you have only one chance to get it right. You expose all night and run back in the morning before the sun starts to come up and washes everything out.
